Our client and their challenge
In collaboration with John Lewis, Samsung had the opportunity to create sixteen dedicated window displays throughout the UK, designed to show off the latest Samsung Curved UHD TVs. The brief was to come up with a stunning display in a very short time and to budget – and to achieve customer feedback and engagement from passers-by, thus driving traffic into the Vision department to engage in the path to purchase and create further stand out for the category.
Our process and solution
As every window was a different size and shape each display had to be bespoke. Big Group Retail’s design solution was a development of the same curved graphic theme first devised for Samsung in John Lewis Partnership for the launch of curved UHD TVs and included print, 2D and 3D Retail POS, but was easily adaptable according to the space available in each of 16 different spaces.
All of the windows were then installed over a three-day period and ran for 6 weeks in flagship stores. The solution involved content synchronisation running across six TVs.
The result and the impact
Shoppers walking past John Lewis stores were greeted with window displays showcasing the new Samsung curved UHD TVs.
This highly innovative collaboration led to improved consumer understanding of the product benefits of watching the Curved UHD TV and drove footfall into the Vision departments within each of the John Lewis Partnership stores.
