Our client and their challenge
Motorola, the inventor of the mobile communications industry, approached us to support the launch of the new Motorola Razr handset across EE showcase stores.
With the iconic mobile handset return to the mobile phone market after a 15-year absence, our brief was to deliver a design-led experiential activity whilst driving brand awareness assisted by Brand Ambassadors in-store.
We developed a range of ideas that would engage with customers in-store and our final execution invited customers to ‘beat the vault’. Customers who successfully ‘beat the vault’ within a 30 second window were awarded with a branded goody bag and entry into a prize draw to win a VIP getaway to Miami which included flights, accommodation, excursions and 2 Motorola Razr handsets.
The showcase areas in store came equipped with 6 LED large format screens, floor and ceiling space. We designed and developed these spaces with branded side panels, branded flooring, hanging retro Razr handsets and skill based ‘beat the vault’ game.
As a result, we were instrumental in helping Motorola launch this iconic handset back in the UK market. Executed against our brief the success of the VIP prize draw led to a 4 week instore extension.
