Big Group Year in Review 2017

It’s become a bit of a tradition here at Big to update you about our previous year, it’s really delightful to again be able to share some good news about our business and the people that make it happen.

Green Acres

In April, we relocated our performance marketing and retail design teams to their new home – The Big Barn in Newbury, Berkshire.  This 5200 sq ft renovated complex is made up of a classic English Country Barn and Farmhouse with paddock and provides very spacious accommodations for the 35-strong team and contains our newly launched VR Lab where we can experiment and demonstrate the benefits of VR for retail and exhibition purposes.

Big gets bigger in Bath

On the 17th July, we acquired Frontline Display International in Bath, Frontline is a leader in the field of retail 3D display design.  The acquisition complements and extends our existing capability in Newbury and the 15-strong team is based in a 4200sq ft studio and production workshop.  Frontline designs and builds retail display units for installation around the world for clients in the Sport, Duty Free and Retail sectors. Projects took us to Columbia, Saudi Arabia, Cannes, Singapore and Shanghai in 2017 and 2018 looks equally busy!

Surprise and Delight

On another note, we were delighted with the response to Big Group’s first ever Client Survey, garnering 9 out of 10 for Client Satisfaction and 9 out of 10 for Recommendation. We are grateful to all respondees for insightful and encouraging feedback on what we do best and where we could do better. The survey raised £120 for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Many thanks to all who participated in the survey.

Econsultancy’s Annual Top 100 Digital agencies report saw us break into top 50 for the 1st time, having first appeared at number 99 10 years ago, this was particularly satisfying as it includes Network agencies while under a different metric, The Drum Digital Census ranked us in the Top 10 of Independent UK Agencies.

Drum and eConsultancy

Recommended Agency Register awarded us “Best Client Service” as voted by our clients which was really the icing on the cake!  Thank you again!

Happy Faces

2017 was also a busy year on other fronts for the team with 5 engagement announcements, 3 weddings and 7 births – where do they find the time?

It has been a busy, challenging and satisfying year and none of that would have been possible without the confidence of YOU, our clients, partners and suppliers, thank you once again for all of your support and encouragement.
